Hike Messenger is India’s first Instant Messaging app build for Android, iOS, BlackBerry and Windows that gives you the ability to chat, make voice calls and a lot more features than Whatsapp Messenger.
In the recent few months, nearly 20% Hike messenger users faced an issue with updating the messenger or got an error message while installing the latest version of the Hike Messenger, stating:
“Parse Error – There is a problem parsing the package.”
Actually, there is no problem with Hike Messenger, but with your version of Android. In simple words, those who are using Gingerbread 2.3.6 Android Version or below to it are getting the issue in installing and updating the Hike Messenger. Since, Hike Messenger developers added a lot more new features to it which was not possible to develop with the APIs available in Gingerbread and the below versions of the Android operating system.
Hike Messenger uses advance API which is included in Android 4.0 and above versions of Android which is not available in the earlier versions and this the reason you are getting the Parse Error in installing and updating the hike messenger.
There is only two solution for this –
- Download the old version of Hike Messenger (see below for the links)
- Upgrade your OS, if updates are available or change your device.

Solution
Unfortunately, there is no solution to parse error except upgrading your OS or phone or using the older version of Hike Messenger. There are a lot of websites which are offering the setup apk files which you can download, for your convenience, we have listed some of the tested websites below from where you can download the apk files directly.
Cheers!
