Let’s being with Installing Service Mode app
First of all you need to download an app named MTK Engineering Mode developed by TheMonster. This app is also known as the Service Mode which let you choose the different networks.
This app is available for free to download on Google Play store or if in case your smartphone is missing Play store you can download from the 3rd party website — http://goo.gl/hs3YCI
Getting Started with MTK Engineering
Once you have downloaded and installed the MTK Engineering application just open it and input the Mobile Specific Code (if in case it prompt — *#*#4636#*#* from the Phone Dial option) and follow the below steps —
- Tap on the MTK Setting and then select Preferred Network option.
- Select Network mode as 4G LT , WCDMA or GSM.
- Now save your settings and restart your phone.
This method is only applicable and supported with the smartphones that are running on MediaTek Processor. And those who are using smartphones that are running Qualcomm Chipset can download Shortcut Master (Lite) available for free to download from Google Play Store.
And if in case none of the above mentioned apps supporting or working you can try the *#*#4636#*#* short-code from the phone dial option and can do this manually without the help you any app.
