Bobby Pin Earrings

You must have heard about the tassel earrings. Now you hear about bobby pin earrings! And make them too.

Materials required

1. Craft Wire
2. Earring hooks
3. Bobby Pins (Several for a better look)
4. Nail Polish or Paint (Colors being you choice).
5. Stencil
6. Tape

Process

Paint the Bobby pins. For areas you want to avoid while painting, use tape. You can also use a stencil to paint patterns on your Bobby pin. Use a variety of colors or go monochrome. It is all your choice. Cut two strips of craft wire and wind them together to create a loop. Insert the Bobby pins into the loop. So that the Bobby pins do not fall off, wrap the wire around once again. Do the same for the second earring. Attach a hook to the wire and you are done.

Pearl Bangles

Materials required

1. Strong Glue
2. A plastic bangle with no designs or a plane surface
3. Golden paint or any paint of your choice.
4. Pearls (Fake is suggested.)
5. A ruby (red ruby sequins is suggested).

Process

To begin with, colour the bangle with the paint of your choice. Stick the ruby sequins on four sides of the bangles. Use strong glue. Then stick the pearls. Make sure to leave no gap between the pearls. Place glue on the sides of the pearls as well as on the base of the bangle. You can also insert a wire through the pearls which will hold them together and then stick the pearls on the bangles. You can also stick two plain bangles on top of each other to create a thick one.

Polymer Clay Beads

Create your own beads for your jewelry projects using polymer clay. Here is a how to:

Materials required

1. Polymer Clay
2. Toothpick
3. Oven
4. Oven Pan
5. String
6. Needle
7. Baking sheet

Process

Warm up your polymer clay for easy manipulation. Begin by cutting off a small piece of clay and roll it in your hands. Make it round. Take a toothpick and insert it into the round ball. This is to make a hole in it. Since the hole might shrink during the baking process, make the holes a tad bit bigger than the thread and the needle. Place a baking sheet on a baking pan. Place your balls on the it. You can make several types of beads by mixing different types of clay together. Do not limit yourself. Place the baking pan filled with beads into the oven. The directions for baking are usually provided in the box. Open up the windows and ventilators since the fumes released while baking is not good for your health. Let the beads cool before you actually use them. Use string and thread to assemble the beads into various jewellery.

Collar Necklace

Materials required

1. Awl or anything to create a hole.
2. Small circular plate
3. Gold Chain
4. Lobster Clasp
5. Four Jump Rings
6. A needle
7. Gold thread
8. Metallic faux leather
9. Pencil
10. Paper File Holder

Procedure

Place the small circular plate on the paper file folder. Trace around it using a pencil. Make a line of about two and a half inches long, sloping about a 45 degree angle. Beside it, draw a straight line pointing down about half inches long. Basically, you are making one part of the collar. Now connect both of these lines. Cut out that one part of the collar. You have just created your template! On the faux leather, trace the template with a pencil. Flip it over on the other side of the faux leather and do the same. Cut both of these out. Use the awl and poke a hole at the narrow end of the collar. But remember to poke a hole away from the edge. Make sure you do not end up tearing the leather. Do the same for another piece of collar. Using pliers, open a jump ring and attach it to one of the holes.

Do not close the ring yet. Do the same for the other piece. Using a scissor, cut a 4 and a half inch of a chain. Cut another chain of the same size. You should now have two, four and a half inch chains. Attach one end of the chain to the jump ring. You can now close the jump ring. Attach another chain to the other hole of the other collar. Attach a jump ring to the end of a chain. Attach the lobster claw clasp. Close the jump ring. Take the two pieces of the collar and put one wide side over the other wide side. Using a needle and thread, stitch the overlapping area of the back. The stitches should be small so they are not noticeable at all. After which, flip the collar and cut the thread. Leave just enough to tie a double knot. And you are done! Another method would be to simply cut out the collar of a shirt and stitch it to your needs.

Cute Rock Ring

Materials required

1. Rock (preferably one with smooth edges and surface)
2. Paint
3. Ring Base
4. Paint Brush
5. Glue
6. Black Marker
7. Pencil

Procedure

Take a rock and clean it properly. Let it dry. After which paint it however you desire. Use a pencil to first trace out your design. Then paint it in. After which using a black marker to trace out the drawing. Glue the end of the ring to a ring base. And there you have it!

Flower Necklace

Materials required

1. Embellishments in the shape of flowers
2. A thick satin ribbon
3. Thin Satin Ribbon
4. Thread
5. Needle

Procedure

Decide how you want to arrange your embellishments on the satin ribbon. You can even put one bead on another as per your desire. Sew one bed to another using a thread and needle. Create a base using a thin ribbon. Stitch the embellishments and the thin ribbon together before sticking it the thicker ribbon.
