Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, IAS D.S. Mishra, Retires After Nearly 40 Years of Dedicated Service

IAS D.S. Mishra, the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, retired today after an illustrious career of almost four decades in the Indian Administrative Service. In his heartfelt Twitter post, Mishra reflected on his journey and expressed gratitude for the support and trust he received throughout his service at both state and national levels.

Mishra thanked the public servants he worked with, the political leaders who trusted him with significant responsibilities, and the public for their unwavering faith. He appreciated the support and cooperation he received, which helped him fulfill his duties with dedication, faith, commitment, and integrity.

He credited his parents for instilling in him the values of righteousness and devotion, which guided him throughout his life. Mishra acknowledged the unconditional love and support from his family, including his wife, children, and extended family, which provided him with the strength to perform his duties with determination and courage.

Recalling his humble beginnings in a small village, Mishra expressed gratitude for the divine blessings that enabled him to rise to significant positions, including the Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for the Government of India and the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh.

During his tenure as Chief Secretary, Mishra received invaluable guidance from the Chief Minister, particularly in revitalizing Ayodhya Dham and spearheading rapid industrialization to transform Uttar Pradesh into a trillion-dollar economy. He highlighted the profound impact of the Prime Minister’s leadership in transforming public service over the past decade, allowing him to contribute effectively to major projects like the National Urban Missions, Metro projects, RRTS, Central Vista, and the new Parliament building.

As Mishra steps down from his administrative duties, he emphasized his commitment to continue serving the nation with renewed energy and dedication, inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed and self-reliant India. He concluded his message with heartfelt thanks to all who supported and guided him throughout his journey, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of countless individuals who played a part in his remarkable career.
